Dwarf Barbados Cherry (Malpighia glabra ‘Nana’) – Starter in 4" Pot

A compact and highly ornamental tropical species, Dwarf Barbados Cherry is prized for its small leaves, naturally fine branching, and bright pink flowers, which can bloom multiple times a year. It produces small, edible cherries and develops a thick, textured trunk over time, making it an excellent candidate for bonsai.

    As a Bonsai:

This dwarf variety is well-suited for bonsai, with naturally small leaves and a tight growth habit that reduces the need for constant pruning. It responds well to shaping and can develop a thick, aged-looking trunk with time. Flowers and fruit add to its visual interest, making it a dynamic and rewarding bonsai species.
