Procumbens Nana Juniper Bonsai - Medium
Procumbens Nana Bonsai (Juniperus procumbens 'Nana')
A classic choice for beginners and long-time bonsai growers alike. This tree has been lightly styled and potted into a 6" ceramic bonsai pot (pot color varies). Great for indoor display temporarily, but this is an outdoor species that really thrives when given plenty of sun and fresh air.
Procumbens nana (a dwarf Japanese garden juniper) is known for its rugged branching, dense green foliage, and excellent response to wiring. It tolerates heat, cold, pruning, and general neglect better than most. Easy to maintain as an informal upright or low, cascading style over time.
📢 Cold-hardy species. Requires a winter dormancy and should be kept outside year-round. In colder regions, place the tree on the ground, mulch around the pot, and protect from wind.
Care tips:
Grows best in full sun—avoid indoor growing except short-term
Water when soil begins to dry out; don’t keep soggy
Prune new growth to maintain shape
Protect roots during deep winter freezes
